One of the greatest ways to open your doors to your near and dear ones is to decorate your front door with a beautifully arranged wreath. Making them does not look very easy, but in reality it is.
Cometh the spring, and jolliest celebration of the Easter begins. This holiday, people love to welcome guests into their houses to share their joys and jubilation.
Easter is one of the most divine festival for Christians across the world, as it celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ after he was crucified. Easter bunnies are innately entwined with the Easter celebrations, as its associations dates back to the festival of spring Goddess Eastra or Ostra, who was believed to be personified as a rabbit.
Since, the origins of Easter has links to the spring season and its deity, it's no wonder that wreaths are made in order to reminisce the floral and pastoral beauty around us.
Along with wreaths and bunnies, another symbol of Easter is an egg which represents the fertility of spring. These are decorated with varied colors and adorned to enhance the festivity and remind us of the folklore associated with it.
Since wreaths are one of the must have things in Easter, you have to take some trouble and make them yourself. Even though artificial or plastic wreaths are available in the market, it is a tribute to the season and resurrection of Jesus, anything less than real flowers or your own creation shouldn't suffice.

How to Make a Bunny Wreath

Materials Needed

  • Wire coat hanger
  • Upholstery thread
  • Ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Netting
  • Needle
  • Bunnies

Procedure

First of all, cut out the netting fabric in 8 x 24 inch strips. Bend the wire coat hanger in the shape of a circle. Cover the wire coat with the fabric with a cut netting strip, stitch it with needle and thread.
Repeat that with every strip you have cut until you get a nice and thick wreath. Now, tie a red ribbon (it can be any color of your choice) into a bow on the wreath. Once you are done with this, pin up cute bunny dolls on to wreath.

How to Make a Floral Wreath

Materials Needed

  • Vine cutting with leaves
  • Wire cutter or scissors
  • Glue
  • Flowers
  • Ribbon

Procedure

Find vine cuttings with leaves for the base. The cuttings should be enough for an 8 x 12 inch diameter wreath. Form a circle with the cuttings, to join the vine pieces with each other, you can just tie it up.
When you have big, thick circular wreath, tie up remaining cutting across the vine wreath so as to make it tighter and compact. Now, the flowers are to be cut small from their stems. While buying the flowers, make sure the flowers look good together.
Tie up a small group of flowers firmly and begin attaching it to the wreath with glue. Similarly, stick other flower groups into the wreath, in the pattern of your choice. At last, tie up big, cute bow on the wreath. Voila! Your floral wreath is done!
One of the most amazing things about wreaths is that they look so beautiful and inviting that you would not be able take your eyes from them, even more so if the creator of the wreath is none other than you. Therefore, don't shy away from making wreaths this season and have a fun with your family.
